My name is Elizabeth Michaeli, and I am an interior designer in Massachusetts. My career as a decorator has evolved over time and because of my varied background, I am not a conventional decorator. I have worked in finance, received a Master’s degree, worked with fabrics in the clothing industry, moved to stay at home mom and then to interior decorator. I have a wonderful husband and three children that keep me very busy.
My Background
My professional career has included many years of experience in fabric research and development with several large corporations in NYC. In this role, I worked closely with designers and vendors to establish fabric qualities, colors and styles and sourced product from mills across Europe and Asia. I am fluent in conversational and written Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
My Philosophy
I strive to create beautiful, comfortable spaces by meeting my clients’ aesthetic, functional and economic goals. My industry experience, innate ability to apply current trends to your unique project, and nurturing guidance will inspire you. I believe every home should be a reflection of the people that live there.
My Approach
My approach is flexible and responsive. I begin each project listening to my clients’ express how they want to feel in their new space. Some clients have a more concrete idea of what they want, and I help them achieve it. Others don’t know where to begin, so I guide them through the design process and help them develop their own style as we go.
